INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the beginning, or advanced metals. in this website you can see what lies ahead in this class. I hope you can enjoy this class as much as previous students have.

Students learn basic metal working skills in the following areas, Electric Arc welding, Oxyacetalyn welding, sheet metal working, and machine shop work. First semester consists of ten hands on tests. Students will complete two Arc and Oxyacetalyne tests, three sheet metal, and three Lathe tests. Second semester students will work on building projects. Each student will be expected to complete four projects, and write a research paper on one. The advanced courses will give students continual training and oppurtunities to gain proficiency and experience in the use of fabrication methods in the metal area. Idividual projects are encouraged.
